Volleyball Recap: New Roads Takes a Loss

New Roads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While New Roads was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into California Academy of Math & Science's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-20.

New Roads' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for California Academy of Math & Science, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, New Roads will face off against EF Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for California Academy of Math & Science, they will be playing at home against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
