Baseball Recap: Gaffney's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Gaffney hadn't done well against Dorman recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Indians walked away with a 7-3 win over the Cavaliers. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 victory the Cavaliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jace Bradbury was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Brody Bright was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Bradbury wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Gaffney lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Gaffney's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for Dorman, they dropped their record down to 12-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Gaffney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cavaliers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
