Recap: Shonto Prep Grizzlies vs. Basis Yeti

The Shonto Prep Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 75-38 loss at the hands of Basis. Shonto Prep has not had much luck with Basis recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Jack Engelthaler was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds for Basis. Engelthaler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Iori Cruz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.

Shonto Prep bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Basis, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Shonto Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Basis will head out on the road to take on Red Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
