Softball Recap: Maple Mountain Golden Eagles vs. North Sanpete Hawks
Maple Mountain made up a huge gap compared to their last game against North Sanpete, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Golden Eagles never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Golden Eagles' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Kyla Donegan was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Donegan was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carly Erickson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. McClain Carter was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
