Basketball Game Preview: Gorham Rams vs. Marshwood Hawks

The Gorham Rams will venture away from home to take on the Marshwood Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gorham, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Gorham turned things around against Falmouth on Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-49 victory over the Navigators. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their 30-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Marshwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were beaten by Westbrook 69-20. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Blue Blazes are ranked 31st).

Marshwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Gorham, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

Gorham beat Marshwood 48-39 when the teams last played back in January of 2025. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
