Recap: Gorham Rams vs. Massabesic Mustangs
After flying high against the Deering Rams last Friday, The Gorham Rams came back down to earth. Gorham was outmatched by Massabesic on the road and fell 42-12. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gorham in their matchups with Massabesic: they've now lost three in a row.
Gorham's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Garrett Poulin, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and Jack Karlonas who picked up 28 receiving yards and a touchdown. Poulin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Gorham's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Massabesic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Gorham will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Marshwood at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maine (Marshwood is ranked 20th, while Gorham is ranked 31st). Massabesic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
