Paul VI is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of St. Mary's Ryken. The Paul VI Panthers really took it to the St. Mary's Ryken Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-43 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 28 points or more this season.

St. Mary's Ryken's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Harris, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 15 points. What's more, Harris also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Vilte Kacerauskaite was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.

Paul VI has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for St. Mary's Ryken, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bishop McNamara the next time they take the court. Paul VI will host Bishop McNamara at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while St. Mary's Ryken will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
