Softball Preview: Harmony Longhorns vs. Bayside Bears

The Harmony Longhorns will face off against the Bayside Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harmony will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Harmony proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past South Lake 4-2.

Elyssa Staley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emerson Aslan, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Bayside got themselves on the board against Westwood on Tuesday, but Westwood never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 22-0 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

In other batting news, Bayside let REESE MONTGOMERY and EMILY LOWE run wild.
