Carlsbad waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the St. Augustine Saints. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in February.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Carlsbad who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 15-12.

Carlsbad's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-2. As for St. Augustine, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.
