The Paseo Academy of Performing Arts Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Parkway South, falling 67-31. Paseo Academy of Performing Arts was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
It was another big night for Eddie Ahearn, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds for Parkway South. Ahearn also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Shanfeld, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Paseo Academy of Performing Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Parkway South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paseo Academy of Performing Arts will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Metro Academy on January 30, 2024. Parkway South will be home for the holidays to greet Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
