Softball Recap: Sumter Snaps 14-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sumter can now relate to. They lost 13-1 to the Summerville Green Wave on Wednesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Gamecocks, who until this game were averaging 2.71 runs allowed.

Sumter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Evans, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Sumter's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8-1. As for Summerville, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 32-0.

As of now, neither Sumter nor the Green Wave have any future games scheduled.
