Dawson Fields Goes Supernova in Hilldale Victory

Starting off the list is Hilldale's Dawson Fields, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fields threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 38 yards. Those 38 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The win got Hilldale back to even at 3-3. Fields and Hilldale will square off against Broken Bow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tyler Fassio produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Poteau to the win on Friday. The game was his seventh straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.

Howell is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Broken Bow's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Howell's next matchup is against Hilldale on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Ryder Waddell produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Poteau to the win on Friday. Waddell wasn't messing around, picking up 0.5 sacks, making 15 total tackles (6.0 for loss), and defending two passes. The matchup was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.

For the season, Waddell has averaged 10.2 total tackles per game and for the season has 1.5 sacks.

Chief Selfridge Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Chief Selfridge of McLain Science & Tech. Selfridge rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 52 yards.

McLain Science & Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3. Selfridge and McLain Science & Tech will square off against Poteau at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
