Baseball Game Preview: Clawson Trojans vs. Ferndale Eagles

The Clawson Trojans will head out to square off against the Ferndale Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clawson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Clawson is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cousino just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 draw.

15 must be Ferndale's lucky number: they beat Southeastern with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Jungaleers. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by eight runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Ferndale and bumps their season record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. With that draw, Clawson's record moves to 19-7-1.

Clawson was able to grind out a solid win over Ferndale when the teams last played back in March of 2019, winning 6-1. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
