Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marianapolis Prep). They blew past Varsity Opponent 16-9 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Golden Knights as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Marianapolis Prep got a massive performance out of Chase Eggen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Chase Morin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Marianapolis Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .620. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7.

Coming up, Marianapolis Prep will venture away from home to challenge Noble & Greenough at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Varsity Opponent, they will square off against Neshannock at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
