Basketball Recap: Vision's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

Vision waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs as they made off with a 56-35 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Vision pulled away in the second half with 36 points.

Vision's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raelynn Nickel, who almost dropped a triple-double with 17 points, nine assists, and 11 steals. What's more, Nickel posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrie Parrish, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards.

Vision smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 26 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Vision's record now sits at 7-2. As for Horseshoe Bend, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vision will take on The Ambrose School at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Horseshoe Bend, after both having extra time off, they and Centennial Baptist will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
