Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chaparral came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls, falling 3-0. The Lobos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavemen/Cavegirls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Carlsbad scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Chaparral dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carlsbad, they moved to 3-11 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Coming up, Chaparral will venture away from home to square off against Hatch Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlsbad, they will welcome Alamogordo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
