            Baseball Recap: Grangeville Bulldogs vs. St. Maries Lumberjacks        
        
		
        
        
            Grangeville won the last time they faced St. Maries and things went their way  on Friday too. The Bulldogs walked away with  a   5-2  win over the Lumberjacks. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Bulldogs.

 JT Jackson and  Thayn Williams were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Jackson   didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Williams   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. What's more,  Jackson posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had  over his last four  matches. At the plate,  Jackson  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double, while  Williams  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs. Williams is becoming a predictor of Grangeville's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 11-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't).
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Caleb Wilson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
Grangeville's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for St. Maries, their loss was  their 12th straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-16.
 Grangeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Maries, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orofino  at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
