Wyomissing fell victim to Lancaster Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 1-0. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Wyomissing got a good showing from Chase Bailey, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Bailey didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

Wyomissing's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Lancaster Catholic, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Wyomissing wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against Twin Valley on the 8th. As for Lancaster Catholic, they will square off against Middletown at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
