Football Recap: Bruni Comes Up Short

The Bruni Badgers ended up a good deal behind the Arlington Heights Christian Lions on Friday and lost 32-14. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 666th, while the Lions are ranked 136th).

Arlington Heights Christian found their leader in sophomore Edward Eichelberger, who rushed for 54 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards and one score.

Bruni's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Arlington Heights Christian, their record is now 5-1.

Bruni didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-6 victory against Victoria Cobra HomeSchool on the 25th. As for Arlington Heights Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 47-0 loss against Jubilee Brownsville on the 24th.
