Knoxville Central is a perfect 10-0 against Campbell County since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Knoxville Central Bobcats duke it out with Campbell County Cougars at 6:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Knoxville Central came up short against Lincoln and fell 6-2.

Meanwhile, Campbell County waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Campbell County let Caden Idles and Rylan Rice run wild. Idles went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Rice scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Idles has become a key player for Campbell County: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Cooper McQuitty also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Campbell County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Knoxville Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Campbell County, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything went Knoxville Central's way against Campbell County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Knoxville Central made off with a 15-0 victory.
