Football Preview: Salisbury Hornets vs. West Rowan Falcons        
        
		
            
 The Salisbury Hornets will head out on the road to  take on  the West Rowan Falcons  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Salisbury has given up an average of 31.1  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Salisbury is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42  points  last Friday, they were much more limited against Concord  on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (42-7), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-7.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for West Rowan, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Northwest Cabarrus on Friday, sneaking past  23-21.
West Rowan's win came from a few key players Salisbury will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Brant Graham, who threw for 237 yards  while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in one  score on the ground. That's the most  passing yards  he has posted since back in November of 2024.  Devaunh White handled things on the ground, rushing for 120 yards.
 West Rowan was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 208  rushing yards. They are 5-1 when  they've run for more than 200 yards.
 Special teams was a major factor in the game for West Rowan, racking up 11 points in total. All came from  Carter Durant: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 2-for-2  kicking extra points for an additional two.
 West Rowan now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Salisbury, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Salisbury might still be hurting after the  31-7 defeat they got from West Rowan  in their previous matchup  back in August of 2022. Can the Hornets avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
