Baseball Recap: Tyner Academy Takes a Loss

Tyner Academy lost against Sale Creek last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tyner Academy Rams fell 10-5 to the Sale Creek Panthers. The Rams' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Tyner Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton McKenley, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Damani Stallion, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tyner Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sale Creek, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Tyner Academy will square off against Sequatchie County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sale Creek, they will face off against Van Buren County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sale Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.
