For the second straight game, Mariemont will face off against Deer Park. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mariemont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Mariemont couldn't beat Deer Park on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 9-8. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hallee VanVleet and Riley Tobergta stepped up to the plate in a big way. VanVleet got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Tobergta got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were VanVleet's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Connors, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

With the victory, Deer Park broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Mariemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mariemont has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Deer Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
