Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Comes Up Short

Immanuel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Open Door Christian Academy Conquerors, falling 71-30. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-34 back in December of 2024.

Open Door Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lathan McMichael, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Levi Silas was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 15 points and six boards.

Immanuel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Open Door Christian Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.

As of now, neither Immanuel Christian nor Open Door Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
