Whitewater had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the LaGrange Grangers a 5-0 shutout. Emma Morgan was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Whitewater's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for LaGrange, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitewater will venture away from home to face off against Dutchtown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaGrange, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harris County at 5:30 p.m. on April 8. LaGrange's defense better be ready for this one: Harris County has averaged an impressive 5.8 goals per game this season.
