Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The match between them and the Newman International Academy Warriors didn't end well, with the Grace Christian Academy Colts falling 53-36.

Newman International Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Arianna Miranda out in front who went 11 of 21 on her way to 27 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The contest was Miranda's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Pillow, who posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newman International Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Grace Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newman International Academy, they will host ILTexas Arlington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
