Basketball Game Preview: Holland Christian Maroons vs. South Christian Sailors

The Holland Christian Maroons will be taking part in a tournament against the South Christian Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Holland Christian comes in on six and South Christian on 13.

Holland Christian saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over Wayland. Given the Maroons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Christian got the win against Hamilton on Wednesday by a conclusive 54-30. The Sailors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Holland Christian's record now sits at 20-3. As for South Christian, their record is now 21-2.

Holland Christian lost to South Christian on the road by a decisive 58-44 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Holland Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
