Basketball Recap: Doniphan Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

After losing to East Carter the last time they met, Doniphan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Doniphan Dons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the East Carter Redbirds 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dons have posted against the Redbirds since December 4, 2018.

Doniphan's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for East Carter, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Doniphan will head out to face off against Clarkton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Carter, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bunker at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
