York will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating South Pointe, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. York came out on top against South Pointe by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 19-25, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Rock Hill can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Catawba Ridge 3-0.
Rock Hill never let Catawba Ridge on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-23.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Meiya Grobusky, who had 17 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Graham, who had ten digs and two aces.
York's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Rock Hill, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
