Basketball Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Eden Prairie Eagles
Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 102-31 loss at the hands of the Eden Prairie Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).
Eden Prairie's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rae Ehrman, who went 8 of 10 en route to 19 points and three steals. That's the most steals Ehrman has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Jordan, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals.
Princeton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Eden Prairie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will challenge Cambridge-Isanti at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eden Prairie, they will face off against Waconia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
