Basketball Game Preview: North Stanly Comets vs. South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls

The North Stanly Comets will square off against the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Stanly comes in on five and South Stanly on three.

North Stanly will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating North Rowan, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. North Stanly managed a 75-69 win over North Rowan on Thursday. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South Stanly earned a 65-56 victory over Mount Pleasant on Thursday.

North Stanly's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for South Stanly, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
