Basketball Game Preview: Chardon Hilltoppers vs. North Rangers

The Chardon Hilltoppers will head out to take on the North Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chardon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully North likes a good challenge.

Chardon is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing South: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Chardon's way against South on Saturday as Chardon made off with a 65-43 victory. The Hilltoppers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 46-41 to Kenston. The defeat continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now lost three in a row.

Chardon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Chardon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win. Does Chardon have another victory up their sleeve, or will North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
