Basketball Recap: Weeki Wachee Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nature Coast Tech, Weeki Wachee was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They secured a 74-68 W over the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Weeki Wachee's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Weeki Wachee will be home for the holidays to greet Belleview at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Archers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.09 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
