Basketball Game Preview: Lexington Catholic Knights vs. Madison Central Indians

The Lexington Catholic Knights will head out to challenge the Madison Central Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Lexington Catholic made off with a 47-46 win over Trinity. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Shamrocks: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Madison Central earned a 61-53 win over Collins on Saturday.

Lexington Catholic pushed their record up to 15-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Madison Central, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.

Lexington Catholic beat Madison Central 48-36 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lexington Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
