Baseball Recap: Morro Bay Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Morro Bay didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Chowchilla Tribe on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Pirates as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Quentin Crotts, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Frank Ainley also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Morro Bay hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chowchilla struck out nine times.

Morro Bay's record now sits at 6-1. As for Chowchilla, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Morro Bay has already played their next game, a 17-0 win against Golden Valley on the 25th. As for Chowchilla, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-3 loss against Paso Robles on the 22nd.
