Basketball Game Preview: Chewelah Cougars vs. Colville Crimson Hawks

The Chewelah Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Colville Crimson Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chewelah took on Republic on Saturday. Chewelah lost 57-34 to Republic. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Tigers are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Colville was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 44-43 to Colfax. The defeat continues a trend for the Crimson Hawks in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Chewelah's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Colville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
