Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Lutheran Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

Lincoln Lutheran faced Bishop Neumann in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Cavaliers 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lincoln Lutheran got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Bishop Neumann saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madison Wiese had 16 digs and two assists.

Lincoln Lutheran pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bishop Neumann, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-6.

Coming up, Lincoln Lutheran will face off against Scotus at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Neumann, they will take on Kearney Catholic in a tournament on Saturday.
