Baseball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Bishop Kelly Knights, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-6 last Thursday.

Columbia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Wilson hit this season.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Bishop Kelly, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will take on Pocatello at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Kelly, they will face off against Meridian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
