Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gulliver Prep walked away with it. They came out on top against the Monsignor Pace Spartans by a score of 7-4 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Spartans on Saturday, they had to take a 14-2 defeat.

Gulliver Prep's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Another was Jacob Lombard, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Gulliver Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Monsignor Pace, their loss dropped their record down to 14-14.

Gulliver Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-7 defeat against Miami Springs on the 8th. Monsignor Pace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
