Volleyball Recap: American Heritage Comes Up Short

If American Heritage was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sports Leadership & Management last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The American Heritage Patriots came up short against the Seminole Ridge Hawks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-12.

Amar'e Stoudemire paced American Heritage's offense, picking up four kills. Stoudemire got some help from Sean Kanji and his ten assists.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Pierce Giebenrath, who had 14 digs.

American Heritage now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Seminole Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

American Heritage has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Don Soffer Aventura on the 20th. As for Seminole Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Wellington on the 20th.
