Upper Moreland and New Hope-Solebury are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Bears will venture away from home to take on the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Upper Moreland has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Upper Moreland fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Springfield Township on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Bears' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Nick Simons was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Upper Moreland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colson Campbell, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, New Hope-Solebury can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-9 victory over Cheltenham.

Upper Moreland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for New Hope-Solebury, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Upper Moreland took their victory against New Hope-Solebury in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
