Volleyball Game Preview: Oregon Panthers vs. Verona Wildcats + How To Watch

Oregon hasn't had much luck against Verona recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Oregon sitting on four straight victories and Verona on 11.

Oregon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Elkhorn by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Oregon relied on the efforts of Alexis Fields, who had 16 digs and four aces, and Devin Howard, who had seven digs and four assists. That's the most assists Howard has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Oregon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Verona made easy work of Sun Prairie West last Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Verona was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-13.

Oregon's record is now 19-21. As for Verona, their record now sits at 27-5.
