Basketball Recap: Rothsay's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rothsay came into Thursday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past the Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] Tigers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 57-41. The victory was all the more spectacular given Rothsay's disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 221st in Minnesota, while Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] is ranked 56th in South Dakota).

Rothsay's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah], their record is now 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rothsay will square off against Hancock at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah], they will face off against Britton-Hecla at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
