Volleyball Recap: Leah Ferreira and Olivia Puetz Secure Win for Palm Valley

There's no place like home for Palm Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Weaver Monarchs on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-7.

Leading Palm Valley to victory were Olivia Puetz and Leah Ferreira. Puetz had six aces, while Ferreira had five aces. Those six aces gave Puetz a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Palm Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

Palm Valley's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Weaver, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
