Pine Grove is 8-2 against Pottsville since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Crimson Tide at 7:00 p.m.

Pine Grove is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since April 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Tamaqua by a score of 8-6. The Cardinals have struggled against the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Ian Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Pottsville earned a 7-4 victory over Conrad Weiser on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crimson Tide.

The team relied heavily on Brody Hess, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Alan Kushwarra, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Pine Grove now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Pottsville, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.
