The Agua Fria Owls will head out on the road to challenge the Prescott Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Agua Fria will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Agua Fria is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 44-24 margin over Combs. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Agua Fria got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Genesis Rios out in front who posted 12 points and three steals. Rios has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Yohoney Castanon was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.
Meanwhile, Prescott suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 72-49 to Gilbert. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Tigers are ranked seventh).
Agua Fria will have to keep a close watch on Bella Abt and Addie Prisciandaro, a pair of players who had a big impact on Prescott's prior game. Abt went 7-for-12 on her way to 17 points along with eight boards and four steals, while Prisciandaro scored 16 points.
Even though they lost, Prescott smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
Agua Fria's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points over those games. As for Prescott, their loss dropped their record down to 21-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Agua Fria has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Prescott struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Agua Fria came up short against Prescott in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 81-73. Can Agua Fria avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
