Softball Game Preview: John Paul II Centurions vs. Rosehill Christian Eagles

The John Paul II Centurions will face off against the Rosehill Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, John Paul II turned things around against Rosehill Christian on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 19-18. The Centurions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Erin Gonzalez was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Mikaela Lozano was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
