Soccer Recap: Barnwell Takes a Loss

The matchup between Barnwell and Woodland on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Warhorses came up short against the Wolverines, falling 9-3. Barnwell were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 7-0.

Barnwell has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-1 record this season. As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Barnwell will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pelion at 6:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Woodland, they will take on Berkeley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland will be up against Berkeley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.29 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
