Basketball Recap: Dewey's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Dewey posted their closest win since January 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over the Roosevelt Cougars. This was a revenge game for Dewey: when they faced off against Roosevelt back in December of 2024, they had to take a 40-32 loss.

Dewey's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dewey will face off against Madison at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Dewey knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Madison likes a good challenge. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing at home against Lafayette at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
