Volleyball Game Preview: Lewis & Clark Tigers vs. Coeur d'Alene Vikings + Official Tickets

The Lewis & Clark Tigers will face off against the Coeur d'Alene Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lewis & Clark is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Mt. Spokane, who was ranked third at the time (Lewis & Clark was ranked 20th). The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lewis & Clark was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mt. Spokane work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-19, 27-25, 22-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Coeur d'Alene got the win against Moscow on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Coeur d'Alene walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-21.

Coeur d'Alene's win came from a few key players Lewis & Clark will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Embree Mckeown, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bridget Maiani, who had 12 digs.

Lewis & Clark's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Coeur d'Alene, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Lewis & Clark came up short against Coeur d'Alene in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, falling 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
